Arturia release Augmented Yangtze

Augmented series gains traditional Chinese instruments

Arturia Augmented Yangtze traditional Chinese sampled instruments synthesis

Arturia’s Augmented series offers a combination of sampled acoustic instruments and synthesis, providing music makers with a comprehensive range of sounds that range from authentic to abstract. Joining the existing line-up of piano, voices, strings, brass and woodwinds is Augmented Yangtze, which brings a selection of traditional Chinese instruments to the collection.

Yangtze

The instrument allows users to create their own ensemble, with two layers each capable of hosting a pair of individual sound sources. There are six instruments and 38 articulations, as well as 30 processed and multi-sampled articulations, along with four synth engines and a pair of sampler engines. A central Morph control makes it possible to blend seamlessly between organic and synthetic sounds, offering a huge variety of tonal options and allowing users to easily create interesting, evolving patches directly from the plug-in’s main window. A set of ready-to-use macros are included, along with an array of built in effects that include distortions, delays, reverbs and more.

For those wishing to dig deeper into programming, an Advanced view opens up a whole host of modulation possibilities, as well as an arpeggiator section packed with parameters to help create rhythmic and dynamic patches, and more in-depth control over the instrument’s onboard effects processors.

What's Included?

The following instruments were sampled for Augmented Yangtze:
