Abbey Road Institute Angel Studios

Abbey Road Institute has this year relocated its headquarters to Angel Studios in Islington, after having outgrown its home in St. John’s Wood due to increased student demand. In addition to this new home at the the newly refurbished studio, students will continue to use the school’s dedicated studio at Abbey Road.

Angel Studios is a much-loved studio housed within a Grade II listed building, and has played an integral role in the development of countless artists. It is the birthplace of records by The Cure, Sam Smith, Adele, Siouxsie and the Banshees, One Direction and Robbie Williams, as well as iconic TV and film scores including The Lion King, Planet Earth, Downton Abbey and Moulin Rouge. As well as being the new home of Abbey Road Institute, the studio will continue to welcome both music and Hollywood projects.

Abbey Road Institute Angel StudiosAngel Studios is housed within a Grade II listed building in Islington, London.Abbey Road Institute is a specialist music production school and was launched in 2015 in a collaboration between Abbey Road Studios and Universal Music. Recent alumni of the school have gone on to work with artists such as Little Mix, J Hus, Calvin Harris, Madonna, Pink, and James Bay, as well as gaining employment with companies such as Netflix, Abbey Road Studios, Universal Music and Ninja Tune. After a successful launch in London, there are now schools in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Australia, Miami and South Africa.

The Institute state that the hands-on training provided prepares aspiring music producers to work in the fast-paced and intensive recording environment, equipping them with the most relevant skills and knowledge required to get started and to develop their careers. There are currently courses on offer in Music Production & Sound Engineering, as well as Audio Post Production for Film and TV.
